1997......, Best year I think for Nordic metal scene.There was the return of Mayhem, Arcturus came back with this masterpiece. Emperor returned with Anthems, Burzum returned, In the woods came back with a new epic album, Borknager released the amazing Olden Domain, Obtained Enslavements 'Witchcraft' album, and Solefalds ground breaking Linear Scaffold album.

@bookworm1138 Better how? Sure, the said "emo" guitarists can produce marketable bullshit that sells but how does it make them better? I might not agree with all of their views but I respect both Gaahl and Vikernes because they have not only created great music but are also genuine philosophers which is uncommon in today's mediocre capitalist society. And yeah, I also dig Arcturus. :)
