Mathilde's fiancée Manech is off to the trenches of World War I, and as he heads off Mathilde (who has got a bad leg from polio) fosters a desperate attempt to cling to hope :
"If I reach the bend before the car, Manech will return alive!"
Little has changed, it seems, through all the ages of waiting women...

I have to see this movie!! Could someone please please please upload it..with english subtitles? I'm not fluent in french..so it wouldnt be as enjoyable knowing only half of what gaspard is saying ;) It's okay if you can't get it with subtitles though :)
