now i dont know, if i'm included in your category of 'smug' people, but being sure of oneself and knowing, not just believing that we are correct without a shadow of doubt or fear of contradiction, i dont believe that's being smug. so what is the question you wish us to be 'open-minded' about?that this animal is a Charcaradon Megalodon not a Somniosus pacificus ( Pacific Sleeper Shark ). that Megalodon sharks still exist alive today? please ask the questions and we will answer.

they WERE about 12-15 meters long. dont forget, the only remains we have of these creatures are their fossilsed teeth. EVERYTHING else is speculation and guesswork!

nah, i dont now and never will. seriously, you can't just use one source of reference material. even iff it's convenient. it's as bad as the silly buggers who automatically believe everything they see on the History channel.

i sure as hell don't believe wiki. as for the other, i believe that you think you can trust the information you find there. i'm merely suggesting you broaden your information base.
