Go Gloss Black!
It's not like there aren't other hammonds to play while you wait!

I will be anxious to hear how it sounds through a Hammond tone cabinet.

@Organgrinder010 Darn! Tell us how you got this gig Nathan. I do realize that you have been at it a while, are a rare genuine personality who has probably made lots of connections in your young life. To be admired I'm sure! Most 24 year olds don't know which way is up. So did you hang out your own shingle, collaborate, or are you working for someone in the organ business?
Got 46' Wurlitzer 310 tone cabinet in the basement and plugged it in after 41 years dormant. It works! 65 yr's bone stock!

Thanks for sharing these updates. You are really doing a great service to restore these organs.
Looking at that cabinet if it doesn't have any major flaws it has a nice patina how it looks now ( in that lighting of course)...then again black is a nice accent to the lines in an A. I think Lenny Dee, rest his soul...well rest all of the old performers who seemed to use the white A's. If it was mine I'd leave the cabinet alone, polish it up and see how it goes original with a new tone. Nothing like the imagery that comes to mind sitting at a great sounding original looking organ.

@paulj0557 Previous owner had done a poor job "refinishing" it in the past. Their are rough sanded areas and mismatched, blotchy stains, and to top it off it has a very low quality wiped-poly top coat.
