Pennington Productions, directed by Myles David Jewell: In the 1960s, filmmaker Myles Jewells grandfather, Phil DiNatale, worked relentlessly as an investigator on the case of the Boston Strangler. Recently, the infamous case has resurfaced in mainstream media casting doubt on DiNatales investigative work and solidifying claims that the man DiNatale believed to be guilty, Albert DeSalvo, was not the Strangler. Part historical film, part personal documentary, The 14th Victim weaves together the late Phil DiNatles personal archive of the case, his son, Detective John DiNatales attempts to set the record straight about Alberts guilt, and grandson Myles Jewells effort to understand the effect this case had on his familys past.
