lol i just bought the marinland 400 for my 40 gal breeder also 2 marineland maxijet 1200's for the undergravel filter in it. you can never have to much flitration haha

You're wise to get the bigger filters. I've got an Aquaclear 400 (old number system) on one of my 55 gallon tanks, and 2 Aquaclear 150s (old number system) on my other 55 gallon 55 gallon tank.
Add some filter media that supports ammonia-eating bacteria, and test your water at least once a week for ammonia, and nitrates, as well as Ph.
