A modern take on the tradional loch style Kate McLaren fly. Tied with a CDC wing as in the F-Fly the grub hook helps it sit low in the water for a more effective profile.
Fished static, twitched or even pulled this fly is a fish catcher. I originally tied it as an indicator fly to hang a buzzer under it New Zealand style.

@TheBoobyBasher I can guess, deer hair will work m8, I'd probably leave the deer hair at the head and add a beard hackle rather than wound, as it works well pulled the deer hair will create a disturbance. You might have set me off tying a varient . lol

@Steveco36 Thanks Steve, Gary Moore was a legend, I was torn between hin or Phil Lynott doing the vocals, but the guitar on this live version won hands down.
Oh and the fly, it rocks too!
