  • Why am i doing this to myself, i'm having my tonsils removed on monday

  • The best advice, which I couldn't follow, is to DRINK WATER. A LOT, as soon as you're done with your surgery and throughout recovery, as much as it will hurt to swallow, drink water. If you don't, the area will get dried out and the pain will be worse, you need to keep the area hydrated.

  • Had my tonsils out 2 wks ago. Surgeon said "that was the most blood ive ever seen" ..& considering he's been doing this for YEARS that says something. A week into recovery i woke up with a mouth full of blood (my artery in my throat was hemorrhaging)...terrifying experience. I almost bled to death. I was rushed to the ER, then the OR where they did a second surgery. & Again i lost a lot of blood. I'm so lucky to be alive. So please be prepared for everything. I wish you all the best!

  • @GoRiLlAz15519 Don't eat ice creme. The milk in it mixed with the vile fluid in your neck post op will wreck hell.

    Slushies and freezies

  • @dropdeadamaziing Do your self a favor and get slushies for the first three days and promise those taking care of you you owe them a fine dinner. The strongest soul suffers so badly as a adult.

  • I actually WANT mine out! Im sick of getting tonsillitis

  • I am a 32 year old male, its been 4 days since i had my tonsils removes also my deviated septum was taken care of. It's not as bad as I thought, then again I was prescribed vicodine, I been taking them as if they were going out of style.

I guess the trick is lots of pain meds. In fact the first day, 6 hours after the surgery I had rice and shrimp for dinner, second day I had a cheeseburger with fries, not that bad! I must say my main fear is sleeping for more then an hour. Specially now since

  • @dropdeadamaziing LOL Thank you! I'm not too nervous. I had my wisdom teeth out so I already know Anesthesia. It's not the surgery that's nerve-wracking; it's the aftermath and pain that will be the bother. Ugh. You can message me on here if you want and let me know how it goes or if you have any questions as to how mine are healing compared to yours or something. But yes, good luck to you, too!

  • @BrennaG03 i'm having mine out the 16th too! so nervous! Goodluck with yours! & know you're not alone in the pain haha
