I think one of the best things about the USA is freedom and protection of our freedoms. The American Dream is what we choose it to be. You have to work hard and fight for it. Those who don't have it are either extremely unfortunate or have not fought/worked hard as the others. We treat our elders and disabled more as a personal responsibility, but there are government programs that take care of them to an extent. We promote personal responsibility and preservation of choice/the individual.
