Defenders Staff Shave Heads for the Gulf

In addition to all the on-the-ground, grassroots advocacy, legal and program work that Defenders of Wildlife is engaged in to to help address the Gulf offshore oil disaster, a few brave Defenders staffers even agreed to shave their heads and donate their hair to help support the efforts of the organization Matter of Trust to clean up the oil in the Gulf.

Why dont they put charcoal in these "sponges"? you use charcoal to clean fish tanks, why not the ocean?

@TheMeanimal they are stuffing pantyhose with human and animal hair to use as giant sponges to help contain the oil spill- go ahead and look it up

you could probably find a way to donate your own hair
