Look, I like Obama too (and am multiracial as well). But the idea that a guy who beats a bi-racial president is guaranteed to be a lame duck himself is rather silly. This country doesn't work that way - witness how we have a black (bi-racial) president at the same time as things like the Trayvon Martin case. The US can be very schizophrenic when it comes to race.

I absolutely agree with you about the "real" GOP contenders are sitting out this election. They aren't running & they are barely even endorsing. Though if Hilary runs in 2016, the GOP are going to be facing a even greater adversary than the 1st bi-racial president. I wish I could say I was as confident as you are for Obama 2012, but world events, or some foot-in-mouth mistake, or some pumped up scandal, or even gas prices, could derail any campaign in this economic & political climate.
