  • Why don't you just use a shelf on the LF, like you did on the HF?

  • Just a demo no reason

  • hey doc, is there a reason you have the kick drum panned to the left at 27? I always leave mine dead center with the lead vocal...just asking though. you are great!!!

  • Just for that sec of the mix

  • Your wrong. You alwash have the compressor first, then EQ.

  • when you want to get EQ to stand out you need to EQ first the boost the freq with a compressor

  • @dmoates420 Uhhh..I was speaking for myself , idiot!

  • Respond to this video... You guys are such noobs. You use EQ befor the comp when u are making cuts. You EQ after the comp if you are making boosts. Although there are no rules to mixing but these are techniques i learned from great pros and i'm not going to go into why this is a good way to work just think about it yourself and it should make sense.

  • @charles030981 The drums supplied by Pro Tools sound great if you are a good producer and engineer. Speak for yourself man.

  • @halfwaythere333 because a shelf would have raised the frequencies all the way down to 20 hz and theat is not what he wanted to do i assume, but i don't think this guys really knows what he's talking about.

  • My presets on my plug ins disappeared how do you get them to come back on

  • @carlsteen NOT ALWAYS CAUSE IF YOU GOT A LOT OF HI'S YOU MAY NEED THE COMPRESSOR TO COMPRESS THE THE HI'S IN THE BUSS OR TRACK. I WILL NEVER DO THAT ! YOU MAY HERE MORE OF THE COMPRESSOR GOING UP IN DOWN AND AROUND OR MOVE SOME KIND OF WAY JUST CAUSE OF THAT! BUT I USE OUTBROAD GEAR AND RUN THE SOUND OR MIC IN TO IT AND OUT TO PROTOOLS. STEVEN EASLEY ON THE BEAT!

  • good vid man and you have the voice of vin diesel hahahahahaha

  • i really need to learn how to use pro tools 8 but i cant hear your voice @ all

  • Its all on you as a engineer. If you like to do EQ first and that work for you than do it. If you have a ear for music you will get the best results..

  • you guys are trippin...you want to use a compressor so compress your high waveforms and low waveforms to get them closer so you can then boost the signals and give it more of a gain...u compress last
