Check out WWW.GGGRELOADER.COM for more info on plans and kits for the DIY feeder and new projects.

This is a first peek at my homemade case feeder for the Hornady Lock-n-Load AP Press. Thanks to the other folks posting homemade feeders for the inspiration. Saved me a bundle of $$$.

Still making improvements.... low cost optical sensor circuit (~$10) coming soon to replace the mechanical switch that detects cases in the feed tube.

  • It cost me $93 vs $400 for the same capability from Hornady... $289 for the feeder + 4*$30 for the feeder plates = $409.

  • release the plans now with a beta warning i'll buy them!

  • awesome work sir! any updates? thanks

  • Great video, I would love to see the plans for this build. I wouldn't mind giving it a try.

  • Love the ingenuity! I'm probably gonna start mine here soon, thinking a 5 gallon bucket cut at an angle would make a great hopper.

  • Totally awesome, and one of the simplest set ups! The cheapest gun store in the state here (NSW Australia) says that when they were in stock recently, they were $AU526.00!!!!! I don't know what the plates would be, but they would have to be $AU50-60. I don't suppose you sell plans do you? :) If you don't, hanks for the good ideas. I have looked at a few of these but yours seems to be the simplest. The clutch is to allow a bit of slop if a case starts to jam I suppose? Is it just a spring? mick.

  • Curious what you made the slide out of that rides on the bed plate? Thanks

  • Nice setup buddy! Good job.

  • The mind is a powerful tool, Good job. When doing this time is not money Hum!!

  • how much did you spend building one vs. making one?
