The comment that Halton Borough joined "the Merseyside Passenger Transport Executive" ~ does not make Runcorn in LIverpool. For many years Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire was mapped as a railway station on the Northern Line of the London Underground. That fact did not make Aylesbury a suburb of London!

Which Fire and Police Force look after Runcorn? Which Coroner investigates sudden deaths? In what Lord Lieutenancy is it situated? Which County does Halton Borough Council use as their addresses on their official website? The answer to all of these is Cheshire.
Yes Runcorn is in 'Liverpool City Region' for certain planning and economic lobbying purposes. However, it remains Cheshire for all other official purposes.

runcorn is not in liverpool. its not even in merseyside!!!

from last month, runcorn is part of LIVERPOOL CITY REGION,as rb1983rb says, when my sister says she's going to town she's going to liverpool.

nice bit of camera work and good music, very classy

Just because some stupid map with a fake boundary says it is Cheshire doesn't mean a lot.

Runcorn is in Liverpool. When Runcorn people say they are "going to town" they mean they are going to Liverpool, not Runcorn High St. This is certainly the case for the New Town folk. Also, haven't you inbreds seen the Liver Bird on the Runcorn Rail bridge?
I live in Runcorn It Isnt In Liverpool

It's part of Greater Liverpool - and also an overspill New Town which explains the accentr. Which metropolitan area do you think you live in? Dade County? Florida? Greater Cairo? Or do you pretend to live in "Cheshire Countryside Fantasty County" that has just been abolished because it basically forms the suburbs of two huge metropolitan areas?

You live in Runcorn and don't know it's in Greater Liverpool? Halton Borough Council is part of Liverpool City Region and joined the Merseyside Passenger Transport Executive. Write and ask your council if you don't believe me. It's a suburb of Liverpool, and previously, as a New Town, took overflow when Liverpool rehoused people. You will be claiming Runcorn isn't in Britain next.
