I'm pretty sure the teacher is not pregnant just aiding to demonstrate these techniques, of which she is very knowledgeable. When it comes to the both long AND painful process of labor, trust me, anything no matter how strange it looks, can work wonders. And when you get that pain in your back, you WILL be willing to try almost anything. Then of course some poeple just scream for meds, and thats ok if thats their preference. The emphasis here is on natural remedy to labor pain.

Why does the birth educator not let the woman rock as she pleases? The pregnant mum should be on the ball on her own, in control of the movement - then only her body will know exactly what to do.
