Boombox 'I wanna be a star' Competition: (Perth)

Hi Youtube!

I'm Chris, a 19 year old student- and I just lost the game! D:

I don't usually enter competitions (the only one I've ever entered before ended in me winning first prize, although I really wanted the second prize... just my luck! :L), but this seemed like a great opportunity that I couldn't pass by (:

If you've somehow stumbled on this link, the reason I'm posting this up is for the Boombox 2011 competition! If you don't know what Boombox is, it's a concert that is headlined by so many famous Youtube artists and personalities that will be coming to Perth (which usually isn't visited by a lot of famous people :/), so... basically what the competition entails is submitting a video, and if you win the competition, you not only get to perform at Boombox, but you get to meet those performing too!

I would really love the opportunity to do so, which is why I spent quite a few hours on this today- which probably should have been spent catching up on study :/

While I would like to say that it took me half-an-hour, it actually took me a lot longer, haha. The reason why I look so neutral and am making tired expressions is probably because this was about my 15th recording, so... it's not normally what I look like!

I think in the end, I spent 3 hours straight singing and playing, so by the end it was just... yup :/

I have kinda refrained from asking people en mass to 'PLEASE LIKE'k, but rather, I ask you to only like my link if you actually liked it, heh. No point in me performing at Boombox if no one actually likes me playing, haha. If it means the difference between winning and losing, well... *shrugs* that's ok (:

So yeah! This is myself and Samantha (yes, my guitar has a name) playing 'Hey, Soul Sister' by Train- one of my favourite songs! (:

I totally made a percussion shaker out of a Smiggle case (which I normally hold my picks in) and rice, so... I don't know. I thought that was worthy of mention (:

... and my awkward facial expressions. Maybe just close the video and listen to the music (:

... and the awkward laugh at the end. TOTALLY awkward turtle, but I decided to leave that in, haha (:

And yes, I do have a Star Wars poster in my room :/
