@EbuNuman he is probably smiling because he loves to recite the Quran, the words of Allah, and one who recites the Quran has a closer connection to Allah. Also, he has passed away, may Allah grant him Jannat al Firdaus

Yes brother, apparentley Shaykh Tuhi, has passed away. Allah accept from him his Saqadah [i.e. all his Qur'anic recitation]

By the way, excellent recitation. I read somewhere that the sheikh has died. Is this true?

It is sad, maybe some people dont know. This Sheikh passed away in 2007, during illness. May Allah grant him in Jannah.
