750 HP Vs 12 Bolt

Testing our new set up at the track. LS2 403 with 200 shot of nitrous. The rear did like it too much.

those are probably not Pro gears, but 12 bolt's are good for Street/Strip cars

This is a pretty stout rear end. If you throw this 12 bolt in an automatic you may never break it. The t56 transmission is the destroyer of rear end gears since you cant really preload the suspension and the shock on the gears is greatly increased. . A 9 inch or dana 60 should be the only 2 choices for a 6spd Lsx car.

@TKOUTLAW1 i have seen 10 second cars break a 9 inch before...i even seen one crack the actual housing while the internals where left perfect lol

@papaown It's the fact that he is running the crappy six speed, people don't realize when you run a automatic you foot break it so that you can avoid wheel spin. It also allows the rear end and components to take up the slack so there isn't as much of a jolt. Manuals are notorious for drivetrain wear when racing on a dragstrip, plus with a turbo 400 i bet he can knock of a couple tenths of a second of his et's. Autos are where it's at on the dragstrip.

A Ford 9" is your best bet,it can stand up to pretty much anything you can throw at it.

12 Bolts are one of the strongest rear ends out there, but then again...the car has over 700 hp...200 shot nitrous (most likely why it snapped), and launched extremely high lol
