@controversyking that you are taking away privileges that we can so choose if you truly aren't a hypocrite. And yes businesses should be prosecuted if they aren't allowing workers who are black, jewish, gay, and other minorities and have as much or better skills than white people, christians, and straights who get the job. It doesn't matter you need to assimilate or forever be uncomfortable.

@controversyking Your a stupid bigot. I know this comment is old but damn does this piss me off. I don't care how pure you are you know nothing. It right-wing Nationalists and ideological fanatics that make this world rot. If it weren't for people who hated people for looking different and believing differently we wouldn't have problems of peace between separate factions. We aren't saying you need to like them but you need to get along and realize we are the same species and

Freedom of religion is a misnomer, and a ploy by the government. That is, the gov't grants us "freedom of religion" so far as it coincides with the interests of the State. Outside of its usefulness to make good citizens and patriots (by which Pols generally mean nationalists) freedom to practice your religion (or lack thereof) is subject to judicial review. Not exactly freedom of religion, now, is it? This is why I reject the terms of this pseudo-debate. The gov't has home-field advantage.

Very well stated

Doing a quick scan of the vote I counted 14 Republicans that voted against the renewal.

@ghpatriot Which is why not one Republican in 2006 voted against the renewal of the Patriot Act, which was put in place by a Republican President...

Social Conservatism is a cancer not just to the US, but to society. Luckily every generation we tend to have less of it...

Mr. Hunter, my thoughts exactly.

If you are a social conservative you're a moron! And probably a hypocrite too
The religious right (political "right" being an misnomer BTW) are their own worst enemy and sadly many of them have still not figured it out.
I'm an atheist but I strongly support freedom FOR religion and freedom FROM religion precisely because I am not a short sighted dimwit that can't see the future... I wish I could say the same for many on the religious right who fail to understand that one day they might be a minority that still deserves freedom and liberty from government...

You make an excellent point at about the 3:35 mark: most Republicans NEED abortion to be legal so that they can oppose it, thereby distracting and rallying their base.
Not many Republicans actually have DONE anything about abortion, they just oppose it and that's enough for a lot of duped voters.
