@edwinreo You are incorrect. He did not say the opening line was ever "my guiding light".. but in fact said the opening line was always "I can't fight this feeling any longer". What Kevin Cronin said was that the song was original TITLED this (guiding light), but the opening line was "Can't fight this feeling" and as such finished the song and renamed it to that.

Interesting. I wonder how the song started with "my guiding light" instead of "I can't fight this feeling any longer". Good story.
