@TheSuperLambBanana theres a huge class divide still unfortunately, although it's much less noticable in the Home counties than it is in the Midlands or the North since the further north you get, trends show that the class/wealth difference is much greater, as "working class" people in the south get comparatively good wages for the same work (although its arguable since living costs are also much greater), meaning that "working/middle class" people in the south are much closer in comparison.

What is it with Radio 4 comedians and always talking about the fact that they're 'middle class'...? I love Marcus and all, but I have noticed a trend. I just can't believe that there's such a significant class divide, but perhaps I'm being naive.

Sorry Marcus your wrong on this one too many people coming in too quickly leads to tribalism areas of british towns populated by separate ethnic /religious groups living like separate states within a state is a recipe for disaster the sort of thing you see in bosnia iraq and chechnya, immigration fine when its at a level that social services and healthcare can cope with and when the immigrants want to integrate into the existing society.
