  • @plastictears Yup :P Small country. It's like, my nearest supermarket ("grocery store"?) is about a 5 minute walk away. When I visit my friend in the States, it's about a half-hour drive to the nearest one, just cos everything's so spread out :P

It does rain more in winter, yeah, but it can get pretty hot in summer. We just had a heatwave of about two weeks, the whole country freaked out - we're not used to extreme weather :P

  • @RainbowTapir Whoa, seriously? That short of time? That's how long it takes to drive from one end of my state to the other! O_O" It's the same? Really? Lol, but it just rains more in the UK right? Well, unless you visit Seattle. Yeah, we're not big on the whole queue thing here. If you're lining up for a show, it's usually not even remotely close to a straight line. (XD) Eh, so long as you get in eventually, who cares? (:P)

  • @plastictears Well yep, the UK is a very small country :D Doesn't take more than 6 hours to drive from the south coast to the northern border of England (where it meets Scotland).

And I've been to the US, and it's much the same to be honest xD Slightly different food, many different accents. One thing I've noticed is that British people are fond of queues. Where an American will have a crowd, a British person will usually have a queue. xD Not always, but often.

  • @RainbowTapir Ah yeah, that's a really decent price. My digital camera cost almost that much, and this was three years ago...on sale. It's sad. Anyway, that's cool you live close enough. What's the UK like? I've always been curious...

  • @plastictears I think mine was about £90, which is more or less $150 if I recall correctly. :) Much cheaper than good quality conventional-style camcorders.

That does sound bad, actually, yeah! Ah, well, at least the UK is pretty small, and I'm pretty near London so whenever she does come here, I get to see her :D

  • @RainbowTapir That's what I've heard. It's so cool she's even been to the UK in the first place! I think it sucks more when she's actually in your country and she's so close but still so far away. I keep thinking, "Man, if she were just two states over!" Then I finally got to see her and now I can't get enough!

You know, a lot of people have recommended those. Now I really have to check them out! How many £ did yours cost? If the $ equivalent is reasonable, I'll think about it. :)

  • @plastictears Yes, she's absolutely brilliant :D I think she's coming back to the UK in January, she hinted at that in the comments of her latest video. I must admit it's torture watching her videos and hearing her say she's gonna be in all these venues in the US xD

And I used a Flip Mino camcorder! It's fantastic, although mine is now broken oops. I need to send it in for repairs soon :) But even the non-HD version is brilliant quality, I definitely recommend it!

  • @RainbowTapir No worries...and yes, she truly is! I met her at the Chicago show and she was unbelievable. She even signed my shirt! Ah man, I really wish I could see her again soon. Are you planning on going to any more of her shows?

By the way, what sort of camera did you use? I love the video quality! It's way better than mine, that's for sure. (:P)

  • @plastictears Late reply, sorry! But yes, she's like one of the coolest musicians ever :D I met her once, she signed my uke! Glad you enjoyed seeing her and you like the video :D

  • Lol, this was the funniest thing! When she played this at the last Chicago show, everyone went crazy. Best time ever. She's such an amazing artist and person!
