Football's world ruling body FIFA on Friday officially turned down a request from the Irish to stage a replay of their controversial World Cup playoff defeat to France. Henry's handball helped set up a goal which put France through to the World Cup at Ireland's expense -- prompting government-level exchanges. Duration: 1:30
@oliverjumelle It's not fair to the other 10 players but that's why they call it s "team".. what ones does affects the rest because a team stands together.

It happens all the time... The player who has never dived may throw the first stone... France is always accused of loosing or surrendering, well no more... By all mean necessary.

After seeing clearly that FRANCE's Henry used his hand the rematch should have been easily granted or better yet penalize France by disqualifying them. That is Fair play. It's obvious this is not fair to the Irish.

Why is FIFA so scared of a rematch. It is the Irish and the French who will be playing not them. We know they are FAT! Let eaither one lose fairly in a rematch.
