Seven years ago a buddy and I took my 1974 911 RS 2.7 up this road. There happened to be a BMW motorcycle rally the same weekend. We passed every one of them. We even hit 115mph on one section and lets just say there are not a lot of straight sections to this HWY. The best time of my life. I would love to try it in a Cooper S.

I am shopping for a mini and really enjoy your videos. Mind telling me what the rattling/crackling sound from in the cabin? Didn't think shifting gears would be that loud...

@hskwei The microphone is amplifying the sound of the pedals and some loose junk in the trunk.

I absolutely love my MCS and I would love to take it on Hwy 36, but did these guys get over 3,000 RPM? Where's the beef?

Haha, watch the second half. The second Mini passes the first and gets to at least 3100 rpm. :) They look slow in the video, but the road is so twisty that you are working the tires all the time and going faster than it looks.

Yes, we are going up south fork mountain, from mad river to the summit. mad river is two miles behind at the start of the video and the only nearby place marked on the map.
