Bernie is one of the ONLY senators that isn't in the pocket of lobbyist. This means he WORKS FOR US. Most (left & right) work for big business, NOT FOR US. We need more politicians (from both sides) like this. We need "CAMPAIGN REFORM". We need to get the GREED out of government.
I heard that there are only SERIOUSLY a handful of politicians who don't take money from lobbyist. THAT SUCKS FOR ALL OF US!!

I love you Bernie. Its heartening to see a senator that places his constituency first. Its disheartening to see that the body is ready to jettison the public option AND the Medicare buy in that was put in its place. Whats the point of "reform" without anything in place to rein in private health insurance companies?

Furthermore, You stated "You shop around when you buy toilet paper at Wal-mart". Maybe shopping at 'Wal-Mart' is a good indicator of your intellect level. The businesses in my hometown aren't closing down because we support those businesses. Maybe you should protect your community by doing the same.

To illustrate my point I used Walmart as an example, but take your pick - Meijer? Target? The point is the same, you CANNOT shop for health insurance. Sure, you may buy your policy from Company A instead of Company B, but A is talking to B behind the scenes and colluding to fix prices, so you only THINK you're shopping around. In the words of a much wiser individual "They don't really provide choice, only the illusion of choice".

And let me ask you this Mr. Capitalist, what's your lifetime cap on that awesomely cheap insurance of yours? How about your annual cap? And your deductible? And your pre-existing condition limitation? And how much did your premium go up this year?

Because of the state I reside in, my cap is 'unlimited'. I don't have a max. Maybe you should shop around instead of taking the first option presented to you. Or, you could complain about not having the same coverage that a smart consumer is getting for less than half the cost.

Yeah, ok. "Shop around", got it. This must be either the greatest advise ever or the most idiotic.

Actually, your the first person I've ever ran across that has never thought about shopping around for the best price on insurance products.

You're kidding right? You don't shop around for your insurance products? Why would you make a comment to me calling me asinine? I've given you great 'free' advice. If you don't want to take that advice, then don't. Your the person who is much younger than me and paying 7 times the amount I am in health insurance. I fail to see that I'm the one who is asinine.
