@viddykiddy18 "Honestly officer, I shot the 'sherrif', but I didn't shoot the deputy."
And that bed intro was hilarious! :-D I wonder if the parents were complaining to NBC about that in case the kids were home sick from school that day and watching it...
Rexall was just a vitamin company back then? These days they have pharmacies all over Canada. Today that company is sponsor of the arena that the NHL's Edmonton Oilers play in.
If you really wanted to be a big winner during the late 70s, you'd probably want to go on an NBC game show, which had no winnings limit (although they did have a limit of how many matches you could play), while ABC had a $30,000 limit (give or take a few grand) and CBS had a $25,000 limit (though on the latter network, you could keep up to $35,000).
I just don't think there were enough sponsors at the end of the show!!! Holy smokes that's a truck load of stuff!

But 12 is always a good roll. There's only one way to make it; 6+6, so even if you couldn't make it, you'd still get another free roll.

and starting with the later eps. on Whew!, CBS would also later institute a 5-match/day limit in addition to the $25K limit.
