On one otherwise normal Monday morning, tragedy struck our neighborhood as beloved friend and golf cart of 5 years, Red Candy, succumbed to the flames of misfortune. Luckily the fire department dispatched within minutes and all was taken care of before the treacherous fire got too out of hand, unfortunately, not soon enough for our Golf Cart. Red Candy died Monday morning, and we will never forget. The scorch marks and dust from the fire extinguisher at the top of the street will forever serve as a painful reminder of the all too untimely death of Red Candy.
In Loving Memory of Red Candy, or the Golf Cart of many names
November 2003 - June 2009
She touched many, and we shall not forget.
In this portion, a few of the golf carts closest friends wake up on the ill fated Monday morning and banter for a minute about how to occupy themselves that fine summer day. Ultimately they decide to drive the golf cart down into town... and we all know what happens next.
Unfortunately, the camera did not catch the early stages of the disaster, but rather the aftermath. What was you are about to see may disturb you, and is a shocking and harrowing testament to human strength and endurance.
This video will forever immortalize Red Candy on film, and to this day remains one of the best examples of one golf carts untimely decent into an all too early grave.
MAKE SURE TO WATCH PART 2 for more footage of the wreckage and emotional goodbyes from the few who were there, but could do nothing to save her life.
