This clip is a concatenation of footage showing my BA2153 flight being prepped for departure to Barbados and then onwards to Grenada.

This flight used gate 62 at the far end of the airport and the view is not as spectacular as that obtained at more central gates. The first view is from the holding area at the gate and is across two glass facades and an intervening corridor - luckily the glass is very clean and does not affect the view except for the odd reflection. The second view is from a small window at the entrance to the airbridge.

The aircraft is a 3-class Boeing 777-236ER powered by Rolls Royce Trent 895 turbofan engines. The aircraft's registration is G-YMMF. This was only my second flight on this variant of the 777.

  • Nice video! What was the passenger load like, where there many people onboard?

  • @LimitlessSkyz Thanks for the comment. From what I could see the loads in all cabins were pretty light. I understand that this is currently the low season for Barbados, being shortly after the summer holidays.
