Talking about my Calabash pipe, the weather, new Boswell pipes, and the neighbors shooting squirrels... also me actin' a fool talking about how my screen is mirrored. Its not, which is why i thought it was weird.

I do believe that pipe smoking is enjoyable. I have become much more addicted to the collecting and learning about the different types of pipes and tobaccos. there is so much to learn. I'd totally recommend pipe smoking over cigarette. If done correctly and in moderation i'd say it is much healthier for you than cigarette smoking.

Im thinking about getting a pipe, what is the difference between smoking a pipe and a cigarette? Is a pipe better to smoke?

Well, it depends on what you want. Smoking a pipe takes more work, time and practice. You also have to buy a pipe. Once you have one though you do end up saving alot of money on tobacco. I prefer the taste of pipe tobaccos to cigars and i've never smoked a cig. so i couldn't say there. I'd guess that you are a little less likely to become addicted (physically) to pipes than you are cigarettes. You generally don't inhale with a pipe, but thats not to say you can't.

Hey Tre86Q, I know the stem's not a vulcanite. So i'm guessing its lucite. i also have some pipes with acrylic stems but i really have no idea. i don't know much at all about the pipe actually heh. i might have to ask the guys at my local tobacconist. I'm still a bit ignorant of all my pipe knowledge ha.

That's a nice looking pipe, although I doubt that for that price it is a true 'african gourd' calabash. The body just doesn't look quite right. I can't believe you are in Springfield. That's where I live and I just happen to stumble across this looking at different calabashs. I guess missouri has a lot of pipe enthusiasts. I've smoked strictly meerschaum pipes until recently. I just bought my first briar and am thinking I would like to own a calabash. Smoke on brother, smoke on. Thanks

is packing that type of pipe differently dont than briar type pipes? especially since the shank is at a different spot than the more convention briar types...

Like the vid. I'm not much of a tobacco smoker. But I do want to buy a Calabash. You seem educated on the subject, can marijuana affect the health of the Calabash?
