@flyingchimp99 Thanks kindly. Well, all I did was make a secure weight attached with a strong 3 -32 music wire to the blade grip. Getting it balanced was trial an error with tape after initially balancing the rotor statically. Otherwise everything else is the same. I have 3 videos up on the subject, that many have not tried yet, so those would be your best sources. Try the one called single rotor blade (B-400) and with single tail rotor blade and see if that one helps. Good luck. Dave

Hi on an actual Aircraft I bring the high blade down, otherwise when you set the auto revs, you'll be taking the both down..

Isn't balancing making sure both blades are the same weight? Why wouldn't you do this before the tracking?

Great demo thanks

I am VERY fond of your garage... if that is your garage.

what is the orange thing on the tail???

Am I right in thinking the electrical tape is for balancing rather then the tracking?
Is this better then using a blade balance?

Now that's a shed!!

Another great Video Dave. Keep up the great work. This should help out quite a few people.
excellent tutorial on blade tracking, I must say that your test stand is brilliant..I built one a couple years back but nowhere near the complexity of yours. I just sandwiched a lazy susan between two pieces of plywood and zip tied the skids to the top... Any chance you could tell me what components I need for that contraption... Thanks and keep the rotors in the Green,,,,

What about the tail rotor? Shouldn't all helis that have an ETRM system should be moving with insyc with the main rotor?
wrestlemaniac202 1 year ago
@wrestlemaniac202 The tail mixing is different than tracking or balancing. It's called tail mixing for ETRM (Electric Tail rotor motor) setups. All of that can also be easily set up on a test stand. I have other videos up on how to do that. Good luck.

Wait....you said @ 2:00 "lengthen the ball link set one turn at a time because they have foreward facing...."what? I get the feeling I missed something important...
catamaranman333 1 year ago
@catamaranman333 The ball links go on easier one way than the other, and can be determined by looking at the face of the ball link. Always put it on the easier way (bigger faced side) as it is less stressful on the ball link.
