Best version of this song, EVER!
I've been listening to this for over 15 years and it still blows my mind.
Oscar is an "Open Channel"... Effortless... He really feels the song... lets the song take control of him... and just expresses it beautifully. It's damn near orgasmic by the end... Just fantastic.

このレコードも良く学生時代聞きました。
学生時代すごした街並木が浮かんできます。
いい思い出です。

Oscar is in a Class by himself.just so cool to watch him play.his fingers seem to glide over the keys.but credit to antonio carlos jobim as well for the great tune.for bossanova fans catch the video with Jobim and Sinatra out standing.

I was 14 when I bought the first album, Girl Talk. I'm 60 now and still happy.
Wave is wonderful and makes me happy.

This must be what God feels like, if you felt God - they say it's indescribable, when you experience God - this music, what I just felt hearing it - it's not just feelings though - it goes beyond that - it must be what God feels like.
I have uploaded a few tunes, I am a lover of Jazz and soul music and so pleased to get so many respsonses to this clip.
As I have said before I personally love the image of a young Oscar such a sublime talent so sadly lost to us all.
His legacy lives on.

OP was one of those special beings granted permission to enter the Garden of Eden, pick the hallowed fruit from the tree of knowledge and offer it to we mortals to enjoy. And how sweet it is.

thank you, im glad you like it. I love this track. I really like the photo too. Oscar was indeed a genius. But Jobim wrote this and said he could never have played it as well as Oscar. They were both true great Jazz men.
