TikiTV.com presents; a view of da beach where Magnum P.I. was filmed and a little shot of the guest house where Thomas Magnum lived.... as security for Robin's Nest... The estate was also used often in many Hawaii 5-0 eps. For yer ol' Bruddah Kimo, a favorite part of living here in Hawaii was watching the occasional location shoots of Magnum and Hawaii 5-0 live in action during the 70's and 80's. And seeing how the respective locations have changed when watching the eps on TV now...
Some commentators mistakenly say it's "Pretty much rundown, abandoned and forgotten. " It is not at all.

  • What happened ? - The house and grounds should be renovated to original glory.

    Loved that show.

  • why. are they now shooting a national weekly TV show there again?!

  • wow, its pretty run down, it used to look great

  • well... you see a star on the street who hasn't been in a series in a while, the very same thing can and is said. When it was seen weekly by millions, it received the appropriate attention required for the fictional scenario of an estate run by some Brit with SUPER high standards, a non local personality, and a whole phalanx of people helping him keep the estate up to par for all the social events Higgy baby held there. So, uh, "no wonder" maybe?!

  • weren't you afraid that Zeus and Apollo might appear running? LOL

  • from A to Z. all da animows my ohana. no skaid!

  • nice to watch, we watched the series all through the years overhere in Europe!!!

  • Unreal....I hate that the place has gone to the dogs....no not zeus and apallo, lol.

  • omg its really sad :((

  • The estate was well cared for by Universals production company, but not entirely...Since, it has gone into a dormant stage and being on the beach hasnt helped as well...filming a re-make has been pushed back to 2011...

  • yeah its to see the Anderson property(I.e. Robin's nest) in this condition. Also looks haunted too

  • great video! thanks

  • wow, it was such a beautiful estate- i can't believe it is so run down! Damn, I loved Magnum..:( Where exactly is the estate? Oahu?Which coast? And is there a movie coming out?!?!?!

  • Maybe Mr. Masters sold the estate... :)

  • Aloha from Australia.

Wow! Magnum P.I. was my all time favorite show growing up in the 80s and remains my favorite show today (Hawaii Five-0 is a close second). Great to see the estate again.

    Mahalo Kimonui.

  • I have visted the estate. From my perspective it looks like the current residents want their privacy. They have allowwed overgrowth of the trees and bushes and even draped tarps around the outer walls to block the views of nosy tourists like me.

  • Yhey will probably be doing up the estate for the magnum pi film in 2009.

  • It's amazing what twenty years can do....

  • Cool

  • So great to see it today. Apart from the condition it looks the same. Almost expect magnum to appear from one of his swims.

  • maybe some people don't want tourons swarming around their neighborhood. much less their domicile.

  • Also to add to the list, it was used for the Hawaii-set 'Charlie's Angles' episodes. I can't believe it's fallen into such disrepair - if nothing else, I would have thought they could have made a bomb using it as a tourist spot.

  • Boy it looks in really bad condition, like nobodys been taking care of it.

  • I never forget. I also don't care to mention all the other eps, movie, shows this was used in. Mostly cuz my interest is Hawaii 5-0 and Magnum. Not the estate shoot schedule.
