  • Murphy still holds the record that matter the most right? a qualy record...

Love the sound of those cars, damn!!

  • As close to the walls as physics allows. That's how ya conquer the mountain

  • he seemed to come of skyline really quick

  • Take nothing away from Lowndes, that was a phenominal lap from a person who is in my mind, the best ever driver of a V8 Supercar - However, it needs to be pointed out that the Sequential gear box is renouned for being a lot quicker in terms of gear changes than a H pattern, and when Murph set the benchmark time back in 03 with the H pattern, he missed a gear and went to 1st instead of third for a brief millisecond, which cost him a couple of tenths. So who knows, if the HP were still in use??

  • the sound is great!!!!

  • Great lap but I have to admit that watching this generation of V8 Supercars is not as exciting as the old ones such as the one Greg Murphy was driving. Watching the drivers heel and towing changing the gears manualy, the engines screaming on the rev limiter blowing flames from the exhausts was a lot more exciting. This car is probably easier to drive than the one Murphy had when he did the record and he also did it under the pressure of qualifying too!

  • @CUZ11Npb lol i found data on the car during that lap

    time was 2:06.8012,

first sector fastest up mountain straight 257.7km/h sector time 51.6419

second sector fastest at skyline 220.0km/h sector time 33.9946

third sector fastest at conrod 291.3km/h sector time 41.1647

when greg murphy's was at top of the mountain time on his record lap was half a second slower.

max g force was at the dipper of 2.61g and through reid park @ the grate at 2.43g

calculated 30 gear changes throughout the lap

  • Dommage que l'Australie soit si loin !

  • @TheOnlineGT he could never replace brock as king. don't speak blasphemy ha :)

  • A truly fantastic display of world class driving from the new 'King of the Mountain'!

Just listen to that V8 Super...turn it up!
