Well strangely I never learned jiddish but I understand it... So I think the scientific truth is in the middle, started as a dialect and became a language. BTW why do you hate them? Are you some antisemite? Antisemites suck like every other racist (including racist jews), no matter what religion, colour or nationality.

Funny that, I can't remember him in Yiddish is Ikh kann im nisht gedenken but in German it would be Ich kann mich an ihn nicht erinneren, literally I can myself on him not remind, or I cannot remind myself of him.

When I was little, my grandparents always spoke yiddish and I hated it because I couldn't understand. Although thats probably why they spoke yiddish around me.Now that I'm an adult I wish I payed attention and learned from it.

@EFKA526 Yep, Yiddish is essentially Medieval High German with some Hebrew words. As Jews migrated into Slavic countries, some local Slavic words were incorporated.
