Eighteen months in development, the new ConneXion coverstock has been fine-tuned to adhere to the lane providing unbelievable traction response from foul line to head pin. The Wild Ride pushes easily through the heads, staying on line to target on both light and heavy oil conditions; both when the lanes are freshly oiled or when theyve broken down. The wild side of the ConneXion coverstock comes alive when the ball reaches the end of the oil pattern and then aggressively connects to the back-ends. The traction created provides a strong recoil reaction to the pocket that results in the most angular skid-snap reaction ever produced in a Brunswick ball. The aggressive connection of the Wild Ride to the lane surface inspires the confidence in the ball reaction that allows bowlers to play the lanes the way they want to.
Believe it or not, I won this ball in a raffle, knew it was the best on the market at the time, and was happy to get it. What I was not happy with was how low the scores I had with it were, so what I did myself was I resurfaced it (by hand, no ball spinner) and took it to 4000 grit Abralon (yesterday). Shot 630 with it, and am a 175 bowler. Love how the resurface gave it more length and a more powerful back end.

A lane could be very oily and it would still work well, but one of the most important parts is to figure out what kind of oil pattern is used. If you have a strong arm / shoulder you can subject it to a variety of tests; including lofting it, speeding it up, or pitching it outside to reduce the oil to give more hook.
