Sounds like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir cover of this song. What irony. I once went to a Mormon service on the 4th of July and a speaker thanked God for Mainfest Destiny. Incredible! Also, the Mormons celebrate Pioneer Day on July 24th but how could they be pioneers to a place that had multiple tribes living there? It should be called Intruders Day.

Being a Mixed Native and European person, I still see this stuff going on. My own family wants to forget their Native roots. We still have a hard time connecting to our culture to be more "American".

The government still is trying to destroy Native culture and put a stigma on those of us who want to practice it.

That's absolutely despicable! Imagine the outcry if modern Germans started thanking God for the Jews holocaust at church services? Double standards.

It's sad that many white Americans are totally ignorant to the damage they've caused to the true North Americans. In their own way, by not acknowledging it, the damage is still happening.
