The riff in the beginning is way to extreme of a riff to teach someone that does not know what the A chord and a pull off is....

@goalieboy1000 it all depends on the song, mostly no, but in some songs the lead (also the backing guitar) would be really tough to master. Check out dragonforce;)

learning to play lead is easy.....getting finger dextarity to do it just takes time =3 phrasing and scales = bread and butter

Its true guys, playing lead guitar takes years to get down. You have to find the discipline to practice everyday. A few hints: 1. motivation; figure out what is fun to play for you and play it a LOT. If you don't like to practice, your not going to practice. 2. Get a guitar stand so your guitar is sitting there looking at you screaming "Play me!!!" lol
