fruitofspirit, these killers are not radical Muslims, but Muslims that actually follow their beliefs and the writings of Islam. The moderate Muslims could be likened to Christians who follow Rick Warren or maybe the newer Emergent church philosophy that doesn't really follow biblical Christianity. The 'radicals' are really just good, obedient Muslims.

Well, as a matter of safety and who we could get along with, sure, for the Muslims, I agree: those are the ones I would want to associate with. As for Christians of that sort, they are of the weak, watered-down sort that I generally separate from, not following biblical Christianity, as a rule. But the Muslims, yes.

Well, let me rephrase that:

Moderate Muslims who could be likened to Christians who follow Rick Warren or maybe the newer emergent church philosophy that doesn't really follow Islam according the Quran...those, I have no problem with.

Just the knowledge that someone is Muslim will not deter me from befriending them. Clearly, Jesus went to the Samaritan woman at the well - He didn't draw any social lines when it came to salvation. And I've met Muslim families, they're kids have played with mine & this is wonderful. But this isn't the only news story, there was the Muslim news caster who beheaded his wife in an honor killing recently. I've no problem with moderlate Muslims, but that radical sect is a frightening reality.
