The Multigenerational Subcommittee of the 60th Annual DPI/NGO Conference proposes to produce the documentary under the title United Concerns: Family Impacts on Climate Change. The documentary will explore families' and individuals' potential roles in preventing climate change. The project will be directed by Mr. Jun Ren, an independent film and theater director, and a key member on the Multigenerational Subcommittee of the 60th UN DPI/NGO.
The film is scheduled to screen at the United Nations Headquarters for two events: the 60th UN DPI/NGO Conference from September 5 -- 7, 2007, and the International Day of the Elderly on October 4, 2007. Its public edition will be shown to the public through TV after the 60th UN DPI/NGO Conference. The film and its trailer will be uploaded to a number of websites, including popular search engines, to involve more mass attention and participation. A website with an interactive edition of the documentary will also be established to trace public responses in the long run and to facilitate more interactions on the solution to the issue of climate change. The documentary project also contains a family photo album, Say NO to the Shadow of Earth.
