One of the final on-camera performances by the legendary team of HOWDY DOODY and BUFFALO BOB SMITH happened on December 7, 1990 on the Sally Jessy Rafael Show. Howdy's usual puppeteer, PADY BLACKWOOD, was engaged out-of-town, so producer BURT DUBROW phoned FLEXITOON. Marionettist OLGA FELGEMACHER pulls the strings for this medley of Howdy Doody's Greatest Hits.
What alot of FUN! I watched them in the 1950's as often as possible on an old Philco B&W set in Homewood, AL.

Sad but true. Howdy still lives with us!

@SenorZorrozzz The ideals of BB, HD, & Clarabelle are not the ideals kids want these days. They are rudderless and bob on the sea with no place, no time, & no brains to understand what Howdy meant to so many children & me & my sister. What is the point of denying a channel to a kid when they can hear & see even more filth on a channel that cannot be locked. It isn't hard to figure out which things need to be blocked on tv. Complete freedom means foul-mouthed kids that can't write their name.

Man, Buff was just great! Too bad that he wasn't younger that that time because he could have done Howdy shows for many more years! He didn't need anybody, just a fine puppettier like OLGA FELGEMACHER, and HOWDY!
