Recorded Wednesday 4th March 2009 in the Sonic Lab at SARC, Belfast. http://www.sarc.qub.ac.uk
My final portfolio is in 3 stages, this was the first: a performance for voice. Using both improvised and composed sections, the composed pieces and overall structure were written onto a graphic score. Before this performance I did a brief presentation referencing other relevant works, suchas Trevor Wishart's, "Anti-Credos", John Zorn's "Cobra" and Phil Minton, who uses extended vocal techniques.
Stage 2 and 3 of my portfolio will incorporate the audio recording from this performance in various ways. Stage 2 will be an Electroacoustic composition, using only this recording. Applying various digital processing and editing techniques to the source material I will create a new piece that alters the source voice in various ways, probably to almost unrecognisable degrees. In this way I will be able to create a whole new sound world from the original material, taking it completely out of it's context and placing it in a new one.
Stage 3 of the portfolio will tie the previous two stages together: A final live performance, but incorporating the electroacoustic composition in some way. This may involve live voice performing with the composition as an accompaniment, or not! The final performance will probably involve the reworking of the composition material, using live manipulation, alongside solo voice.

@MovieMaestro36 I can't seem to post it here in YouTube comments (must be a filter), but I've now edited the videos to include the link.
