I don't get why they can't just pay for their own meal, or their own movie ticket ...

I'm a girl and I would feel bad if my date was paying for me. It's not like its the old days and women don't work and are owned by their husbands. Women work too now... so we should pay for our food. Lol.

women abuse the fact that guys always have to pay. Sometimes they even bring friends who expect a free meal. People should always go dutch. You should never have to pay for a womens company; doing so would make her a prostitute.

Relax guys, Donna is one of those gals who just doesn't appreciate men. She is attractive and probably has never HAD to ask a guy out so she doesn't know what our end feels like. Also, she doesn't understand that when we ask out a girl we are really saying, " I do not know how much time i have left on this earth but i would like to spend a few hours with you." That is a huge compliment and it should be enough. We are asking to spend time with you not money necessarily.

Why SHOULD men pay on the first date? Do you know how many first dates the avg guy has? This puts men at a huge disadvantage. Equality is a 2 sided coin honey. Maybe men should be paid an extra dollar an hour to make up for that first date rule? Women wouldn't stand for that. Getting asked out is a huge compliment so if a girl asked me out why would I make her foot the bill too? I do not think EQUALS should ever expect anyone to pay their bill. Nice try sweety.
