Original design is by Tomys who I based my GPU after, I took his original design and added my own twist with it.

It can
1. Move the cursor around so you can see which pixel you are selecting to indent or erase.
2. Undo feature, you made a mistake on one of the pixels? No problem you can now erase that pixel.
3. Scroll, for the up and down you can just stand on the plates and it will go up and down as long as you stand on them.
4. Save pictures to the hard drive.
5. Load pictures from the hard drive to the Display.
6. Load pictures to the GPU so you can edit them before saving them back onto the hard drive.

What I am planning is to make the GPU run a short video with 32 frames.
With the Planned 2 Alu, I will be able to compress 2 pictures to fit into a 16x16 bit hard drive. and an added Soundcard will play selected musics.

This will fit quite well for the games I will be creating.

For that want to see more of it an action, here is an old video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4XoBMhRd1g&feature=related

  • @peterc1 This is why I love Minecraft. Out of interest did you ever accidentally destroy a piece of redstone and have to hunt around for it? Also, how did you learn to build this? I think I'm redstone savvy but I don't understand how computers are made.

  • @TheRealBibwitHarte yea i have, can be annoying lol. I didn't really learn this, this was always innate in me. How I see things is that you can take something from one piece and combine it with another thing to perform a different but desired operation, sort of like programming or hobby electronic hackers.

  • How can you select blocks from so far away? (You can see it clearly at 2:50 by looking at his cross hair on the white blocks)..

  • @Azza1070 it's the lag from the machine, the signal has to travel to many forms of repeaters that shift their position so it goes like left up then right right up and so on.

It has to go through so much that you can call it lag or delay.

  • once they make green and blue torches ppl will make full-out computers with color screens

  • @peterc1 He meant at 2:50 you can see the block being outlined by your crosshairs

  • @Azza1070 Try using Single Player Commands and do //setreach 200 <I think that is it :P

  • Minor nit-pick: this is not a GPU. A graphics processing (that's the key word) unit has shaders, can do transforms, alter lighting, etc. for frames stored in a frame buffer. While your display is impressive, it's processing anything.

  • I'm sue this is super complicated or whatever, but i don't see the point.

  • @peterc1 Nvm I removed the comment.

  • @Brutalacerate I already explained I was being a dick and didn't know it was the owner of the video responding but just some random kid, you're like the fifth person to have said that now. Thanks for the uplifting comment. Good thing to know the owner of Herocraft is looking at my comments.
