Panama Red sings Everybody's Talkin' with Geraint Watkins, Fay Lovsky, George Wolfheart, Jeff Boudreaux and definately better late than never Ronnie Caryl. Panama in his inimitable style just drifts into the Fred Neil song without offering the band much info on where he was taking them. Once they logged in, everybody's listening. Another great moment from the Rochefort en Accords festival in 2007.

  • Hi, Who's the cat playing lead guitar? He must be a session player on other people's recordings, yes?

  • If you mean the bearded one that's Ronnie Caryl who has indeed played on a few sessions over the years, notably with his old school friend Phil Collins - see more of Ronnie on youtube/rochefortaccords

  • Danny you are one in a million, stay that way. Richard Russell

  • @rochefortaccords - Oh, indeed Freddie would approve. It's Danny's birthday today, so posted a song from when he was in Kinky Friedman and the Texas Jewboys (w/another friend, Lanny Bowles on drums), a few of Dann'y videos. Great way to spend a morning here in Oaxaca, listening to old friends: Vince Martin, Freddie Neil, Danny Finley, Bobby Ingram... And to those who feel upstaged by Danny? He IS famous among musicians, folks who know and love him. Can he be a dick? Yup. Is he one? Nah.

  • I like. Relaxed, very cool. Simply awesome. Best alternative to the dynamic commercial version performed by Nilsson. Those PR guys just know: the older the better.

  • no, I know him I used to play with him in Seattle at the dubliner open Mic. His name is Panama Red, AKA Dan Finley

  • Joe who?

  • he probably was unaware of any of that, chris, him bein all self-involved and everything. you have reason to be resentful, but kinda looks like you're directing your ire toward the wrong guy, maybe you oughta take it up with the open mike guy.

  • acting like he's famous or something, like joe perry

  • what really pissed me off the few times i met him at an open mic, is that we had already signed up (i play guitar and sing too) and all the spots were taken, and then panama red comes waltzing in, and then the host of the open mic just lets him slide in and play ahead of us

  • oh, the envy. still a real dickhead. still thinks he's famous.

  • i've met that panama red guy years ago at murphy's open mic in seattle, wa, he was a real dickhead. he thought he was famous
