No, no need to change 498A law. This law must be abolished, otherwise within next 10 years it will abolish the family system. This law has been used for all purposes, blackmail, extortion, adultery, get back to boy friend,separate boy from his family, fraudulent marriage but to prevent dowry harassment. Proof- NCW claim that dowry harassment is on rise. This means this law failed to abolish dowry system in last 25 years but have been very successful in encouraging legal terrorism and criminals.
