This song is from Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I don't know who originally composed it... The remix is from Sonic Generations! I played the normal version for the first half, and the boost version for the second half. This and GHZ are the only songs with boost version, actually!

@JoshuaTaipale Cool, I was curious because I was trying to find a sound through Logic I liked without using my amp or distortion pedal. The one you used sounded decent so I guess I'll have to start Garageband and check it out!
