1995 Break

From these tapes I found at the thrift store in 2004. This is from channel 27 in the Hampton Roads, VA area.

-A man buys a purple ford ranger. For some reason, I can't imagine in 2008 having an ad where a guy buys a purple truck.

-AT&T with Jane Leeves (there was like this trend in 1995 with NBC celbs in AT&T ads or something, I also have one with David Schwimmer in it)

1995 is at the point where it's "Getting There", but not quite nostalgic yet. On a tape I found in my family's house just today, the first commercial was a movie called "The Net". The cellphones used were still large, but were prevelent. 1995 from a 2008 viewpoint is probably the earliest year that someone could go back to without feeling a culture shock. Of course, a tape I found began with a Seinfeld summer rerun!

I believe "the Net" is considered one of the worst movies ever made, or at the very least a stinker.
