1995 is at the point where it's "Getting There", but not quite nostalgic yet. On a tape I found in my family's house just today, the first commercial was a movie called "The Net". The cellphones used were still large, but were prevelent. 1995 from a 2008 viewpoint is probably the earliest year that someone could go back to without feeling a culture shock. Of course, a tape I found began with a Seinfeld summer rerun!

I believe "the Net" is considered one of the worst movies ever made, or at the very least a stinker.

I agree with you about 1995.

Whoa, cool, thanks. UPN, the early years. The Jane Leeves ATT ad.

Maybe the guy buying the purple truck was under the influence of Grape Nuts cereal (which judging from its commercial is a controlled substance).

Or it's simply before the steroid flow of Dodge Ram Trucks came along bearing whizzing Calvin stickers and tailgating anything with less than a V-8.
