  • @Crxspybacon Just one of the great aspects of Scottish County Dancing to enjoy, laddie.

  • @Statalyzer Ha Ha, no. Even though I took a few Highland lessons when I was younger, I could only do proper high cuts on my best day. And it was difficult to transition into and out of that step and still maintain the flow of the dance (for me). It does look impressive and fun in a dance, though. It's all great fun.

  • @Broadsidejohn Ever danced Reel of the 51st in an all men's set with high cuts in place of the diagonal line setting in the middle of the dance?

  • @Statalyzer Perhaps. My favorites are Flowers of Edinburgh, Reel of the 51st and Mairi's Wedding.

  • @Statalyzer I haven't danced in years, but I believe you're right. Dancing couple should pass by the left (more difficult requiring more finesse) shoulder in the 1/2 reels. One of the few dances not requiring any setting steps. Sadly, not enough men dance. But I would enjoy dancing w' these lassies. Sound quality is good and fun to watch. Thanks for the posting!

  • the boob bounce skip

  • Need more dudes!

  • @Crintingnut It IS!!!

  • @thozz Good question!!!

  • @Statalyzer I might choose The Clansman, I usually got all exhausted when it's finished. :P
