okay wtf the atrichoke leaves are still too hard to eat after 2 hours of cooking!!! the outer layer of the leaves are not etable!! is that normal??? HELP PLEASEEE
Yeah, I know. I usually steam mine, so I was a bit skeptical. That said, I just tried cooking them in the microwave like this, and it worked, tasted just fine, and saved a lot of time.
In fact, I knocked cooking time down five minutes by steaming them with hot water that I already had available to me from the hot/cold water dispenser I have.
It might even be a bit healthier to microwave them, in that the nutrients have less time to leach out into the water.
