to me the Dandridge/Diaz team was better at 4 pm /6 pm

..it was on a thrust fault and apparently created gforces up to 1G. There have been a few moderate ones since then, but 94 till 2011 has not had a nasty one like that since. That s unusual. This also goes to show ya that the San Andreas is not our only concern. However, that one will be a 3to4min quake with up to a 200mile fault rupture(northridge was only a 10mile long fault)

this thing was loud, powerful, freaky. Lived about 60miles from it and it was still bad.. And knocked over the chimney. I have experienced a quake over 1000times more powerful(a 7.5). However, this one actually felt worse. Even though it was only a 6.6; it ranks at the top of the chart for quakes with the most energy released throughout the the history of the US.

I lived in Van Nuys at the time 5 mins away it was pretty scary.

Thank God it was Martin Luther King day so I didn't have to go to school. That may have been one of the scariest moments I've ever encountered. The crazy part is I would have slept through the whole thing had my brother not waken me up because he was afraid the glass would break down on me. I stayed with him in his room that night.
